Reclamation morning at Centocelle Park

On Saturday, December 17, 2016, a first reclamation activity was carried out in the Park of Centocelle, precisely in the area adjacent to the ancient Osteria and the tunnel of the abandoned railway, with the aim of clearing a path that connects the two goods, the first of archaeological nature and the second cultural, to the metro station.

It was a morning dedicated to civic collaboration, during which free citizens, members of various associations of the neighborhood, namely the Public Park Community of Centocelle, the New Life Association, immigrant groups of associations Dorean Dote Onlus, CUB Immigration Unitary Confederation of Base, Union tenants, students of the University Luiss Guido Carli and Rom have rolled up their sleeves, and with rakes and shovels have worked together for the redevelopment of a common good to all. They have shown how union can concretely make the strength and can be an answer to the problems of a city; they have shown how they are not only carriers of problems, but, and above all, bearers of solutions and concrete answers. They have shown, given the right conditions, that there are no barriers of any kind and race between people eager to pursue the general interest and give and live beauty.

It is from here, from these gestures and forces of will that we must start again to build new bridges, more solid, between the various subjects (the public, the civic, the social, the private, the cognitive) of the institutional ecosystem quintuple propeller that LabGov, with its CO-Cities, aims and is managing to achieve.

The next day were three hundred people present to visit the old gallery, where Benito Mussolini had planned to build the first metro in the city, demonstrating how these resources can be sources of wealth and unique places of aggregation, of which Rome, so full, should only treasure it for its own regeneration.

A special thanks goes to Urio Cini and Alessandra Noce, who, driven by the desire to make their neighborhood shine again, organized these two mornings and above all gave good times and taught the way to be an active and civil citizen.
