The second of the two workshops with the artist Daniele Tozzi, as part of the Living Memory Exhibition (LME), was held at the Parco dei Romanisti on 4 September.
On 4 September at the Romanists’ Park, the lettering artist Daniele Tozzi, started a lively dialogue with local citizens to gather ideas for his next work of art that will be exhibited near the local market of Torre Spaccata. The meeting was also attended by the curator of urban art Mirko Pierri (a.DNA), the president of the neighborhood cooperative “CooperACTiva”. Both told the ideas and the reasons for the initiative, before leaving the floor to the presentation of the artist.
Afterwards, there was a collective discussion with the public that helped to collect artistic suggestions for the next creation of the mural. This mural will represent a participatory work of art and will be the result of a choral work between different subjects present and operating on the territory.
At the end of the meeting, a group of young artists who collaborate in the initiatives of CooperACTiva have started an open session of live painting with the participation of the citizens present.
All the activities of the workshop and preliminary to the inauguration of the LME events are part of the broader European project “OpenHeritage”, they are managed by CooperACTiva in collaboration with Luiss, LabGov and Co-Roma.
