Open Urbania’s impact

Collaborating through Open Urbania makes it possible to assess the impact of various initiatives on people, territories and the environment.

Open Urbania provides its users with impact assessment based on an indicator with nine impact macro areas.

The proposed indicator system includes nine macro areas of evaluation:

The Impacts

Impact on the territory and local and urban impact

Allows an assessment of the improvement of the quality of the urban context in which the intervention takes place and how it relates to characterizing factors such as surface, environment, regeneration, accessibility, reachability.


Assesses more specifically the relationship between the intervention and prevailing environmental factors such as soil, energy consumption, use of materials, land reclamation, protection of biodiversity and ecosystems, climate mitigation and adaptation, circularity, pollution, water quality.

Relates to actions to stimulate entrepreneurship and social, employment, inclusive and service-related measures.


Assesses the intervention and the area in which it is located from the point of view of contribution to management and necessary infrastructures for health, and social and healthcare services.

Evaluates the implementation of infrastructure, services and activities that enable improved access to education and knowledge throughout the lifespan and the enjoyment of culture, history, the arts and the various forms of expression of humankind as an opportunity for growth of individuals and the community.


Assesses the achievement of equality and inclusion goals related to gender, culture and traditions, beliefs and orientations, access to life projects, and end of life procedures, and full realization of one’s self and the community one belongs to without distinctions, forms of exclusion and injury to minority rights.
