Open Urbania is a platform for anyone who wants to contribute to the sustainable development and open, just and responsible innovation of the territories involved in the alliance.
Open Urbania offers the opportunity to be able to launch or participate in initiatives for the territories involved in the alliance, but it also does much more. It offers digital tools to collaborate online and, most importantly, it offers the opportunity to receive funding through crowdfunding
How does project development work within Open Urbania?
1 – Project creation
Citizens, universities, third sector, public institutions and private enterprises propose the implementation of a project on the platform.
2 – Sharing ideas
Workshops and informational meetings are organized to ensure other stakeholders learn about the initiative and, if interested, join the project.
3 – Planning
A detailed plan is developed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project, including objectives, resources needed, timelines and ways to evaluate results.
4 – Choosing the legal entity
A qualified professional is appointed to draw up the statute of the legal entity best suited for the implementation of the project, considering the specifics of the initiative.
5 – Kick-off, monitoring and maintenance
Once the legal entity has been defined, project implementation can begin. It is followed by constant monitoring of the project’s progress and collection of feedback from the community in order to address any critical issues, ensuring sustainability is maintained over time.
